This information should then be faxed to 201-648-8365. Once prescription is received, Mender Medical staff will contact patient to notify them of the process and submit paperwork to billing company for insurance verification and preauthorization.
It generally takes 48 hours from time paperwork is received for insurance to be verified and need for preauthorization to be determined. If no insurance preauthorization is required, patient will be scheduled for fitting. If patient requires preauthorization, it may take up to 5 business days to obtain preauthorization, depending on insurance. Once preauthorization is obtained, patient will be scheduled. If preauthorization is denied or if additional supporting clinical information is required, physician's office will contacted/notified.
Mender Medical fitter will arrive at the physicians office or patients home to fit patients for their devices during a mutually agreed upon schedule.
